Take Care of Your Silk Tie

When storing your silk tie you need to avoid creasing or crushing the fabric. When you take your tie off, resist the urge to pull it over your head without untying. Always untie the knot and hang the tie to allow the creases to fall out. If you have several ties, there are some great tie hangers on the market these days that can be hung on your clothes rail, attached to the wall of a walk-in-closet or to the rear of your wardrobe door.
When travelling, don't pack your silk ties along with everything else in your luggage. If you travel a lot, invest in a tie case. Or gently fold your silk tie and place it in the pocket of your suit.
